I'm having login problems.
If you're having difficulty logging in, first make sure that you are using the correct username and password that you set upon signup. Your username is your email address.
Both the "username" and "password" fields are case sensitive. Be sure that your CAPS LOCK is set to "off" when setting up your login data. However, if you entered your username in full or in part in caps then you must enter it this same way when attempting to login.
Also, make sure that you don't have any firewall or browser restrictions set on your computer, and that you are running the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Click here to go to the login page.
I forgot my password.
If you've forgotten your password, please enter your email address into the "Forgot Password" box on the Login page.
How do I change my username or password?
For security reasons, your username and password are set upon registration and cannot be changed in your account interface. To request a change or reset, please use the Contact Us form (at the bottom of this page) to reach a customer support representative who can help you.
I purchased a Full Phone Report only. How do I upgrade to unlimited membership?
To upgrade to an unlimited membership, follow the "Upgrade" link in your account admin area. This link is also provided to you in your purchase receipt.
How do I cancel my membership to prevent future charges?
Membership at ReversePhoneDetective.com is a one-time fee only. There is no need to "cancel" your membership since you'll never be charged again.
Furthermore, we do not keep your credit card number on file. Your payment details are automatically encrypted and expunged from our servers upon purchase.
Why does the owner name for some numbers come back as "unlisted"?
While ReversePhoneDetective.com contains information on hundreds of millions of U.S. landline and cell phones, it is inevitable that some owner details will be "unlisted". This may be caused by carrier restrictions, a recent change to that number, or opt-out status within our database.
Even when an owner's name comes back as unlisted within our Members Area, you'll usually find results about the number's line type, carrier, issuing location, and more.
The information on the Full Phone Report doesn't seem to be accurate.
We are 100% committed to keeping our records up-to-date and accurate. If you find something that isn't correct, please let us know through our Contact Us form. A link is provided at the bottom of this page.
Some of the links in the Members Area ask for more money. Do I have to pay for anything else?
You do NOT have to pay for anything else within the Members Area. For certain queries (i.e. Tracer Reports), we access outside databases that require additional payment, but these searches are entirely optional.
Our primary objective is to help you find what you're looking for. These additional searches and recommended databases allow you to take advantage of our experience in the investigation industry-- thus saving you time, money, and hassle.
If I send you the name of someone, can you give me their cell phone number?
No, we are not a cell phone 411 directory. You can, however, use the people search databases within our Members Area to identify landline numbers associated with someone.
How do I determine the physical location of a cell phone?
ReversePhoneDetective.com does not provide the physical location for cell phones, only the issuing location or available owner's address. Furthermore, we do not enable GPS tracking of mobile phones or endorse its use. Learn more about GPS phone tracking and how to prevent it within our learning center.
How do I get access to incoming/outgoing call logs or phone records?
ReversePhoneDetective.com does not buy, sell, rent, or distribute call logs or phone records under any circumstances. Learn more in our phone records and pretexting articles.
Can I run phone searches for Canadian or international numbers?
No. ReversePhoneDetective.com only provides coverage for U.S. landline and cellular numbers.
What are the permissible uses for running reverse phone lookups?
As defined in our End User Agreement, you must agree to use our information only for appropriate, legal purposes, and in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Our databases and information may not be used to bother, stalk, harass, threaten or embarrass any individual. You may not use the service to look up celebrities or other public persons, or to locate individuals under the age of 18.
